Abstract | ||
Jihad plays a significant role in Quranic teachings as it is one of the most important religious obligations. Many researchers have investigated jihad in the Quran and narrations; however, there has been very little focus on the educational aspects of jihad and how it impacts the process of education. This is while this religious phenomenon not only affects the preservation of life, property, honor, and sanctities but also has a crucial role in education. In this regard, we have approached the role of jihad in education based on the Holy Quran through a descriptive-analytical perspective. We conclude that Quranic jihad education manifests itself in thoughts within the realm of monotheism, as indicated by verse 51 of Surah At-Tawbah. This influence similarly appears on belief in resurrection in verses 111 and 120 of Surah At-Tawbah and verse 145 of Surah Al-Imran, and regarding its impact on belief in prophethood, one can refer to verse 120 of Surah At-Tawbah. Quranic jihad education also influences moral advancement, where it can be noted that the divine education obtained by the fighters serves as a cornerstone for moral enhancement. Furthermore, we highlight the impact of jihad education on patience during hardships, determination, steadfastness, and refraining from enmity towards others. Finally, General Soleimani is referenced as an exemplary model of Islamic education shaped through jihad in the path of God. | ||
