| Abstract | ||
| افلاطون در رساله ی تئوتتوس معرفت را «باور صادق موجه» تعریف می کند. این تعریف که به تعریف (یاتحلیل) سه جزئی معرفت معروف است تا دهه ی 1960م تعریفی غالب برای معرفت به حساب می آمد. در سال 1963م ادموند گتیه، فیلسوف آمریکایی، در مقاله ای سه صفحه ای، ضمن پذیرش لازم بودن اجزاء سه گانه، با طرح دو مثال نقضی، کافی بودن آنها را مورد تردید قرار داد. از آن زمان تاکنون پاسخ های متعددی به مثالهای نقضی گتیه داده شده است . دسته ای از این پاسخ ها، ضمن پذیرش ایراد گتیه در کافی نبودن شرایط سه گانه، با افزودن شرط چهارمی در پی تکمیل شرایط سه گانه برآمده اند. در این مقاله ضمن بررسی و نقد این قبیل پاسخ ها نشان می دهیم که تلاش در این زمینه تاکنون ناموفّق بوده و ایراد گتیه همچنان به قوت خود باقی است. | ||
