| پاسکال، در باب نظریههای توجیه معرفتشناختی، حامی «نظریة مبناگروی» است. از منظر او، باورهای پایه بر سه قسماند: باورهای پایة تجربی، باورهای پایة ریاضی، و باورهای پایة دینی. پاسکال، توجیه باورهای پایة تجربی را از طریق «تجربه»؛ و توجیه دو قسم ریاضی و دینی را از طریق منبعی موسوم به «دل» میداند. این مقاله میکوشد با واکاوی آثار پاسکال، جایگاه «دل» را در اندیشة پاسکال، در مقام توجیه باورهای پایة ریاضی و دینی، به خصوص باورهای دینی، نشان دهد؛ و بدین وسیله، تقریری روشن از معرفتشناسی او ارائه کند. همچنین میکوشد تا معلوم سازد از منظر پاسکال، تفاوت دل با عقل چیست؛ و چرا پاسکال در نظام معرفتشناسی خود، دل را به جای عقل به کار گرفته است. | ||
